I lost 5 pounds on WW this week! My weigh in is on Mondays and it also starts a new week for me in WW. I’m so happy! I didn’t even think I did all that well! Well, hopefully this next week will be better and I might do a little better! Although I know you lose fast your first couple weeks, and then it tapers off. That’s ok, I’m just happy I’m losing weight! This is a lot easier than I thought and it makes me feel so much better! I still have wilpower issues when it comes to chocolate, but hopefully I’ll find some low-point chocolate recipes. Anyway, GO ME!
Uh oh…bad mommy.

Monkey see monkey do. Or say. I always thought it would be Todd to teach Ava her first swear word. He’s trying very hard to clean his language up, but being a paramedic, he’s around it so much. I don’t really have a potty mouth, I never really did. I do say the occasional swear here and there, but most people are surprised when I let one out. So earlier today, I was working on some pictures and Ava came up to the computer and started pounding on my keyboard. I told her no and then she (of course) did it again. When I looked at the screen, she somehow had completely messed up a picture I had just spent 20 minutes working on. So, my natural reaction was to say “Dammit!” And of course she followed suit. She looked at me and said “Maddit!!” I put my hand over my mouth and stared at her wide eyed in shock and trying not to giggle. She saw my reaction and then decided to say “Maddit!” about 10 more times until I distracted her with Teletubbies. So, about 5 minutes ago, she accidentally dropped her plate on the floor, allowing our dog Samson to have at it. She pointed her finger at him, and said “Sam! Maddit!!” Lol, oh great. So she knows how to use it to. Greeeeeaaaat! Bad mommy lol!
Nevermind…

Ok so, no Cancun.
Which sucks monkey toes. We have a few bills that just cropped up and we really have to pay them off. It’s really not something that can be put off any longer and so, unfortunately that comes first. So, instead on Cancun, we’re going to go to Wisconsin Dells. Yippie. Ok, so it’s not that bad. It’s probably better off than taking a 2 year old on a plane for 5 hours (there and back) and then making sure we don’t lose her in Mexico. It’s probably not nearly as expensive either! And she’ll have more fun. We decided we’ll go to Cancun for our 5 year anniversary and leave Ava home with someone. I like that idea better. Although I might have a hard time without her after a while. Regardless, it really is a better thing. Bills being paid off, more fun for a 2 year old, no screaming child on a plane and Todd and I alone next year. And I will hopefully be at my goal weight next year, which means a bikini!! I’m good with that!
Cancun here I come!

Yup yup! We are planning on FINALLY going on a vacation! It’s been 3 years and we decided to go to Cancun (!!!) this summer with Ava. We were able to get a really great 7 day all inclusive (including air, transport, food, drinks, passports and babysitting) deal for about $2400. Not bad! I just figured it was about time. I’ll have had 3 weddings in May and then May 30th thru June 6th we’ll be gone! I’m SO happy!
Except for one thing. My weight. There is no way I can go to Cancun looking the way I do. So, I’ve joined Weight Watchers and I’m been going to Women’s Workout World 3 times a week. (WW & WWW. I just noticed that!) Today is my first day on Weight Watchers and after doing my total points for today…WOW! I really didn’t do any dieting, I basically ate what I do normally just to see how bad I was doing. I’m eating twice as much as I should be and not even eating good things! I have to add water to my diet and take out so much milk. And probably switch to 1%. Just looking at a lot of the food choices I make and it totally puts everything into perspective! Take for instance the breakfast I had this morning. An egg sandwich and a glass of milk. It’s 2 eggs with a splash of milk, mayonaise (both peices of bread have mayo on them) and whole wheat toast plus the glass of milk. Doesn’t sound too bad right? Well it’s like 14 points! I’m only allowed 24 a day! So, if I change it to one egg and mayo on one piece of bread, no milk added and a glass of water to drink, that makes it 5.5 points! Much better for me! So basically, it’s not a diet. Its a lifestyle change. I can’t keep doing this to myself. I can’t do half of the things I’d like to because I’m just not physically able to! I’m not being fair to my daughter either. I can’t play with her as much as I could if I was in shape. Not only that, but I could be a better photographer too, believe it or not. I don’t usually get down low for some shots because it takes too long to get back up. I’m only 27 years old and I should be taking better care of myself and being an example to my daughter. So, wish me good luck! I’m not saying I want to be in a bikini by June (although I sure wouldn’t mind) but I sure would like to make much more shallow footprints in the sand!
